What we do

The GAIA Lab is developing a novel approach to achieve safe and beneficial Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). Building on advances in active inference theory, neurosymbolic AI, and distributed AI, GAIA (General AI Agents) will support responsible decision-making at scale, mitigate systemic risks and enable humanity to benefit from advances in ubiquitous intelligence and automation.

We develop general-purpose technologies and protocols for connected, scalable AI decision-making, and partner with industry to build it into domain-specific solutions, with a focus on critical sectors like energy, finance, nature, cities, and manufacturing.
